Rachel MacNaughton D.Ac, R.Ac, Owner

Rachel graduated from the Acupuncture & Chinese Herbology program at MacEwan University in 2007. Shortly after that, Acupuncture & Beyond Inc. was born. Since then her many dreams and developments have unfolded and we are now a multidisciplinary clinic with 8 treatments rooms all together. Rachel strives to listen to your concerns, be compassionate, and works hard to achieve your optimal health and wellness goals. She can treat a wide range of ailments ranging from neck/back/arm/sciatic pains to headaches, stomach and sleep troubles to plantar fasciitis and so much more. Rachel specializes in fertility/pregnancy and women’s/menstrual troubles. When Rachel is not healing people or animals she is spending time with her family outdoors, horseback riding, quadding, forest exploring, camping, and mounted archery! Rachel takes continued education courses to further her knowledge on both human and animal healing. Rachel is able to direct bill most insurance companies as well


Paula Swiredowsky St.Acup, R.Ac

Paula graduated from Reeves College Acupuncture Program and is registered through the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta. She is eager and motivated to help others and increase the awareness of how Traditional Chinese medicine is an effective option for health and wellness. Paula believes in using integrated therapies and aims to grow and refine her skills to help people with recovery from illness and maintain balanced health. She is excited to join the team at The Healing Centre with Acupuncture and Beyond Inc. serving Parkland County and Beyond. Paula enjoys the fine arts and creating rustic furniture in her downtime. Paula cannot offer direct billing at this time.

Carley graduated from Grant MacEwan in 2011 with 2200 hours of study in massage therapy. She has been working in Stony Plain ever since and is excited to expand her alternative medicine knowledge, this time with acupuncture. She completed the acupuncture program at MacEwan in June, 2018.

Carley’s interests are music, fitness and travelling. Carley offers direct billing for massage therapy but cannot offer it for acupuncture at this time..

Guasha Therapy


Guasha Therapy

This technique involves using a stroking pressure with an instrument to remove stagnant blood from affected areas, stimulating normal circulation and metabolic processes. Guasha relieves pain in a variety of syndromes including certain headaches, neck pain, back pain and much more.


Cupping Therapy


Cupping Therapy

A method of placing a cup on the skin and creating a vacuum over the localized area. This technique relieves pressure and stress over the area and promotes increased circulation for healing to take place.
